Tento trend má žiaľ dopad aj na kvalitných gamehosterov. Kedže gamehosteri, ktorí sa rozhodnú ísť spôsobom nízka cena, nízka kvalita, veľký počet zákaznikov naraz, získavajú zákazníkov vďaka tomuto marketingovému ťahu, nútia drahších a kvalitnejších gamehosterov tiež, ale nedobrovoľne, spúšťať ceny. Keďže kvalitný gamehoster má politiku nastavenú na spôsob, vyššia cena, vyššia kvalita, nižší počet zákazníkov a pritom tú sumu musí spustiť a kvalitu znížiť nemôže, ekonomicky na to dopláca. Kvalitný gamehoster preto rieši takéto situácie napríklad vytvorením akcií a zliav.
Nie trvalých, len časovo obmedzených, ale výrazných. Vďaka tomu mierne zreguluje a zamieša trh a vlna zákazníkov sa opäť vráti k nemu. Tieto akcie majú veľmi pozitívny vplyv, pretože keď gamehoster zníži dočasne len cenu, ale nezníži kvalitu zapôsobí na jednu negatívnu vlastnosť Slovákov. Veľa muziky za málo penazí – vysoká kvalita za nízku cenu.
Ďalším, a žial ešte vážnejším problémom slovenských gamehosterov je, že častokrát nemajú oprávnenie na poskytovanie takýchto služieb. Pre to aby mohol niekto podnikať, musí mať buď živnosť, alebo „s.r.o-čku” alebo ďalšie druhy obchodných spoločností. Mnohí slovenskí gamehosteri sú iba zhlúčiky neplnoletých amatérskych nadšencov, ktorí majú predstavu, ako budú točiť milíony. Neodvádzajú ale dane, nemajú žiaden zápis v obchodnom alebo živnostenskom registri, a ako by aj mohli keď nemajú ešte 18, že? Ich webové stránky sú častokrát nedostatočne vypracované, neposkytujú dostatočné informácie, ktoré sú pre objednanie služby potrebné, nemajú vypracované obchodné podmienky, ktoré by zaväzovali ich a taktiež zákazníkov, nemajú žiadnu administratívu atď. Takto by som mohol pokračovať celý deň. Jednou vetou povedané, pôsobia ako veľmi nedôveryhodné „subjekty”. Čudujem sa ľuďom, ktorí sú ochotní zaplatiť takémuto pochybnému gamehosterovi peniaze, keď ani nemajú istotu, že naozaj dostanú to, za čo si zaplatili. Potom krik a vyhrážky absolútne nič nevyriešia, kedže oficiálne, gamehoster zákazíkovi nič nepredal, kedže na to neexistuje žiadny hmatateľný dôkaz.
