Ďalšou veľkou kapitolou slovenských gamehosterov sú poskytované vedľajšie služby a služby zdarma. Podľa môjho názoru, by mala akákoľvek služba hocikde na svete v hocijakom odvetví predaja obsahovať nadštandardné služby a služby zdarma, proste grátis pre zákazníka. To je na slovenskej gamehostingovej scéne skôr ojedinelé. Len asi dvaja najlepší slovenskí gamehosteri na Slovensku poskytujú takéto služby. Medzi ne môžem spomenúť profesionálny ovládací panel, VoIP (Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, Mumble) služby s istým počtom slotov v cene, prístup na FTP, webhosting v cene, profesionálna 24/7 technická podpora, Half-Life TV, či dokonca aj wifi hotspoty.
Aby nebol tento článok príliš dlhý, spomeniem ešte jednu a asi tú najzávažnejšiu chybu. Ide o vzájomnú nenávisť medzi gamehostermi na Slovensku a snahy o spôsobenie čo najväčších škôd tomu druhému. Tieto snahy väčšinou prichádzajú z vôd práve vyššie spomínaných pochybných subjektov. Ide väčšinou o to, že takéto subjekty doslova ukradnú web, ponuku, cenníky, obchodné podmienky atď, atď a potom ich na svojich weboch vydávajú za svoje. Častokrát sa ani len nesnažia to zamaskovať, jednoducho kvalitnému gamehosterovi ukradnú precízne vypracované obchodné podmienky, pomenia názov spoločnosti a „capnú „ si to na svoj web. Tak isto ide o krádeže grafických materiálov, cenníka, objednávkových formulárov, nápadov, textov atď. Dovolím si spomenúť spoločnosť RAK DassNET s.r.o. – obchodným menom Game-Area.eu, ktorá patrí medzi spoločnosti, ktoré boli najviac poškodené takýmito snahami iných subjektov. Tejto spoločnosti bol 3x ukradnutý cenník, 2x objednávkový formulár, 1x obchodné podmienky, 7x grafické materiály. Ide o spoločnosť, ktorá sa snaží o poskytovanie čo najnápaditejších, najkvalitnejších služieb, ktoré môžu priniesť na slovenský trh ako novinku, niečo, čo tu ešte nebolo. Mesiac po tom, čo takúto novinku uvedú, sa rovnaké služby objavia na x ďalších webových stránkach pochybných gamehosterov na Slovensku. Musia preto vynakladať extra výdavky na právnika, aby im „vydobil” ich práva. Niektorí gamehosteri si neuvedomujú, že takýmto kradnutím sa dopúšťajú porušenia zákonov Slovenskej republiky. Konkrétne ide o nekalú sútaž v hospodárskej súťaži (definované § 44 ods. 1 zák. č. 513/1991 Zb.) a tiež ide o plagiátorstvo a parazitovanie na povesti podniku, výrobku alebo služieb (definované § 44 ods. 2 písm. b) a § 48 Obchodného zákonníka) a to nehovorím o autorských právach (definované zákonom o autorských právach č. 618/2003).
Je už len na zákazníkoch, koho uprednostnia. Buď si vyberú kvalitnú firmu s dobrým menom, ktorá im za primeranú sumu poskytne veľmi kvalitnú službu, alebo si vyberú pochybný subjekt, ktorých je dnes na Slovensku priveľa. Gamehosting sa snažia robiť herné klany, herné portály a iné subjekty. Je pre mňa nepochopiteľné, ako môže napríklad herný klan poskytovať herné servery za finančnú odplatu. To potom gamehosting môžu poskytovať aj cukrári, predajcovia obuvi alebo aj lekári a pritom gamehosting je veľmi špecifické odvetvie dátových služieb a vyžaduje si veľké znalosti z oblasti serverov, operačného systému linux a samozrejme aj samotných herných serverov. Každý gamehoster na Slovensku má čo zlepšovať, niektorí menej, niektorí viac, záleží na tom, ako sa k tomu jednotlivo postavia.
