V tejto časti nášho seriálu “Ako na vlastný server” sa pozrieme na základnú konfiguráciu webového servera Apache. Začneme nazretím do konfiguračného súboru apache2.conf a popisom najhlavnejších častí.
Ako prvé nájdeme riadok
ServerRoot "/etc/apache2"
Tento riadok nám určuje kde je umiestnené/nainštalované Apache2, v tomto priečinku sa spravidla robia všetky nastavenia Apache.
O niekoľko riadkov si všimneme PidFile
PidFile ${APACHE_PID_FILE}
Je to súbor do ktorého si ukladá Apache čísla svojich spustených procesov.
Pri pohľade na okno vidíme TimeOut
Timeout 300
Určuje, počet sekúnd po ktorých sa má ukončiť spojenie.
Ďalej sa presúvame na KeepAlive
KeepAlive On
Zapneme alebo vypneme to, či prehliadač môže pri jednom spojení žiadať viac odpovedí.
Ďalej
MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
Maximálny počet dotazov pri jednom spojení. Pokiaľ zadáte “0″ tak tým spojenia neobmedzíte, avšak jednoducho zahltíte server.
KeepAliveTimeout 15
Ako dlho sa udržuje otvorené spojenie.
Nižšie nám začínajú prácu Apache moduly mpm_prefork_module a mpm_worker_module (vždy je možné mať nainštalovaný iba jeden!).
MinSpareServers 5
MaxSpareServers 10
Toto nastavenia sa náchadza iba v Unix systémoch, určuje, koľko odpovedí bude čakať v prípade nečinnosti.
StartServers 5
Počet serverov, ktoré sa spustia po zapnutí servera.
MaxClients 150
Maximálni počet súčasne bežiacich procesov servera, tímto sa dá limitovať aj maximálny počet akutálnych spojení. Toto nastavenie je potrebné optimalizovať pre výkon servera, nízke číslo by znamenalo spomalenie servera a pri vysokom čísle by bol následok preťaženie. Tímto sme skončili moduly mpm_prefork_module a mpm_worker_module.
ErrorLog
Cesta kam sa má ukladať ErrorLog, štandartne sa ukladá do /var/log/apache2/error.log
ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log
LogLevel warn
Úroven logovania, môžeme si vybrať z viacero možností, napr. debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, …
Pri pohľade na zostavájúcu časť apache2.conf vidíme len jednotlivé cesty odkiaľ sa majú načítavať napr. virtual hosts atp.
Tímto sme si prešli najdôležitejšie časti konfiguračného súboru Apache2, v časti II. si ukážeme pridávanie domén.
