Spoločnosť Lenovo ohlásila v septembri 2008 príchod nových produktov. Rozhodla sa vstúpiť aj do segmentu serverov a osloviť novým radom ThinkServer oblasť SBM. ThinkServery majú za úlohu plne uspokojiť používateľské skupiny v stredne veľkých spoločnostiach. Sú certifikované pre operačné systémy Windows Sevver alebo SUSE Linux Enterprise Server od spoločnosti Novell. ThinkServery nájdete vo vyhotoveniach Tower a Rack, pričom príslušné vyhotovenie vyjadrujú písmená T alebo R v označených zariadeniach. Môžu obsahovať matičné dosky s jedným procesorom Intel Core2 Duo,
Intel Xeon 3000 alebo 3200. Tieto sú označené druhým písmenom S a sú určené pre malé podniky s jednoduchými aplikáciami, napr. elektronická pošta, súborové služby alebo webový server. Ide o servery TS100 a RS110.
Servery označené druhým písmenom D obsahujú dva CPU sokety pre procesory Intel XEON 3000 alebo 5000. Vďaka dobrej priepustnosti databázových aplikácií a virtuálnych riešení sú vhodné pre stredne veľké riešenia (TD100 a RD120 – číslica 2 v označení znamená počet U).
