Dobrá správa od WD, predovšetkým pre multimediálny obsah je priestor na diskoch jeden z limitov servera. Mnohí ste už riešili dilemu, či kúpiť server s 3,5″ diskami ale s moznosťou osadiť len 4 alebo 6 až 8 alebo server s možnosťou 12 či 14 HDD ale 2,5″. Použité rozhranie S-ATA a cache je 8MB, priepustnosťou a rýchlosťou čítania sa síce nezaraďuje medzi špičku pre serverove využitie, ale jeho nízka spotreba a vývoj týmto smerom je určite dobrým signálom po zvyšovaní kapacít diskov s rozhraním SAS.
